At Colcafé, we offer beverage solutions with a specialty in coffee. Aligned with our higher purpose of building a world where development is inclusive and guided by our commitment to sustainability, we strive to create initiatives that support Colombian coffee producers in transforming their farms into Sustainable Coffee Enterprises.
For this reason, we are supporting local coffee producers through a Technical Assistance Project coordinated by Incofin, providing them with digital tools and AI-powered insights to enhance their harvests.
Our solution focuses on the drying process, aiming to:
- Improve access to technical assistance for coffee production and post-harvest methods, emphasizing best practices and drying techniques through a new, user-friendly app.
- Pilot a modular, portable, and easy-to-use drying device for coffee growers.
Currently, the project is being implemented with coffee growers in Farallones del Citará, a region in the department of Antioquia. This initiative optimizes coffee drying time, enhances quality, and increases the profits of coffee-growing families.
With these innovations, farmers can adapt, grow, and build more resilient businesses.

This Technical Assistance Project is financed under the Smallholder Safety Net Up-Scaling Programme (“SSNUP”) funded by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (“SDC”) and the Liechtenstein Development Service (“LED”) and coordinated by Appui au développement autonome a.s.b.l. (“ADA”).
This Technical Assistance Project is also financed under the project “Innovation in Ag Tech and Digital Agriculture for Small Farmers” funded by the Inter-American Development Bank, as administrator of the Multilateral Investment Fund (“IDB Lab”).
